Biography

Patrick DeRouen founded DeRouen Law Firm in 2009 after amassing decades of invaluable experience in law and business.  Mr. DeRouen earned his law degree from Tulane University Law School in 1990 and his MBA from Loyola University in 1990.  His practice covers a broad spectrum of complex dispute resolution through negotiations, mediation, arbitration and trial in state and federal courts. 

Mr. DeRouen's practice is concentrated in the following areas: insurance defense, insurance coverage, bad faith litigation, trucking/transportation law, SIU (insurance fraud) construction law and governmental relations.   

Among other honors, Mr. DeRouen has been recognized with an AV Preeminent rating under Martindale-Hubbell's peer review system.  He has been selected as one of New Orleans' Top Attorney's in New Orleans Magazine and has been selected for inclusion in Louisiana Super Lawyers in 2008 and 2013.  Mr. DeRouen is also an in demand speaker and presenter on evolving aspects of insurance litigation and trucking/transportation law.
